E-books are coming. Just where and how haven't been decided yet, but no doubt they're coming. As an experiment in e-booking, Tor Books has put a free copy of Jane Lindskold’s
The Buried Pyramid on line in several formats.
To obtain your copy, you first need to
register on Tor's blog site. This is no burden, as the site has many other features of interest to writers (and readers), especially science fiction writers (and readers).
You then simply scroll down a few pages in the article about Jane and choose the format you want. I chose pdf, and it seemed to work fine.
Instead of simply scrolling down, you might want to read the article. Jane is a friend of mine, but I was a fan before becoming a friend, so I can honestly say that I'm (sort of) unbiased about her books.
Take a look at her own website, as well as her blog entries on the Tor site. Jane tells me that these entries are more essays for writers than the typical "here's what I did this morning" blog entries. Definitely worth reading.
